Unite Atlassian's Community and University platforms
Users can level up their skills in Atlassian's productivity tools by utilizing Community and University. They can ask questions, share expertise, and participate in trainings and certifications. Our goal was to unite the two systems to make it easier than ever to learn and grow with Atlassian.

Users are on their own - they can't share progress, ask questions, or connect with other members training in the same tool.
Similar systems, separate architecture
It's hard to move between the two, but users clearly need both platforms to get the most out of Atlassian's productivity software.
With a united Community and University, users could be more productive and empower their teams to do their best work.

We needed to articulate how our design vision would help our client's users. To put a face to our hero journeys, we leveraged existing user data and created proto-personas. Meet Kali.

Kali wants to manage her team and projects effectively. Long term, she'd like to keep growing her skillset with Atlassian's tools.

CommUniversity in action
Entry
Kali does some research on Jira and finds a question answered by an Atlassian Community Leader. She sees related content including spaces and upcoming events and wants to learn more.
Seeking
Kali has signed up for an account, and sees her "CommUniversity" dashboard. She searches for a Jira roadmap template she can use for her team.
Learning and growing
After some time, Kali puts her Jira usage to the test and aims to earn the Jira Admin for Cloud Certification.
